Visitor Experience Volunteer

Description: While this is a primarily a customer service position, the front desk is often the visitor’s first experience of the museum,  making this interaction a vital one. You set the tone for their entire visit in just a few moments and serve as the face of the museum for the time you are at the front desk.

Expectations/Duties: Accurately and efficiently handle admission and museum store transactions, orient visitors to the Museum, answer phones and field public inquiries, keep front desk area tidy, organize and restock museum store as needed, simple administrative tasks as they arise, general cleaning as needed.

Time Commitment: 1-3 shifts a week at least 3-4 hours at a time, an ideal candidate will be willing to commit to a consistent weekly or biweekly schedule.
